An East Riding of Yorkshire Council Travelling Library is parked at the Ship Inn, Saltaugh Road every alternate Tuesday from 9.30 a.m. to 7.30 p.m. It stocks a wide range of fiction and non-fiction books, also Large Print books and Spoken Word. The Library has computer terminals for public use.
The vehicle has its own telephone number, and during opening hours can be contacted on (01482) 392576. Any other enquiries about the Travelling or Mobile Library Service can be made on (01482) 392721/22, during office hours.
Further Education.
In the Village Plan questionnaire many people asked for more Adult Education in the village. Jayne Wilcock, Locality Development Officer has asked if people would contact her with their ideas - type of courses, what day, evening , weekends and the details of anyone they know that may be interested in courses so that she can see if she can help organise these opportunities.
